Samsung Galaxy Beam Coming Soon in Singapore

Samsung Galaxy Beam, with the code name of Halo when it first introduced at Mobile World Congress this year, will go on sale next week but not in the United States. Singapore's StarHub customers will get first rights began July 17 according to Samsung's press release, followed by other regions in Asia and Europe later this year. For North America, apparently still floating.

There are several features that make people able to open. Carrying Android OS version 2.1 with a thickness of 0.6 inches, 5.5 ounces Beam offers the same features as the one on the other Galaxy smartphone.

Front and center is the Super 3.7-inch AMOLED screen, slightly smaller than the screen Super 4-inch AMOLED, an 8-megapixel camera on the back, plus a VGA-quality lens at the front for video chat, integrated FM radio, plus Wi-Fi standard , Bluetooth, and GPS support.

What stands out is actually a built-in pico projector on the beam, supported by Texas Instrument's DLP technology.

Tiny projector started making a breakthrough in compact devices and other portable devices. But the device was still struggling to gain a foothold in the mobile market.

Samsung already has several mobile medium with DLP pico projector in it, and LG has a handset with a projector for AT & T last year. But Beam marks the first smartphone with a pico projector itself.
