Palm Pre 2 Officially Declared


Hewlett Packard (HP) for the first time showing off his new smartphone from Palm's purchase earlier this year. Palm Pre 2, which was announced on Tuesday (19/10/2010), will use the operating system webOS 2.0, the latest version of Palm's smartphone platform cardboard which also recently announced.

"We've made a lot of improvement since the platform is launched, and now we are taking further steps forward with new features are more intense for a lot of things can be done with your webOS device," said Jon Rubinstein, Palm's General Manager, who is now a HP's business units, in a statement.

Palm Pre 2 is the first smartphone that will come out into the market using webOS 2.0. France will become the first country visited by a touch screen device that begin Friday (10/22/2010), then followed in the U.S. and Canada a few months ahead.

This device has been equipped with 1 GHz processor, a 5 megapixel camera, scratch-resistant glass coating on the screen, and a combination of touch-screen navigation and a QWERTY keypad. Palm Pre available in CDMA version and a GSM / UMTS.

Palm Pre 2 is HP's first smartphone to go back to the middle market is soaring. Palm's first device with a webOS released in 2009, but failed to compete the funds according to Gartner data captured only 1.2 percent of smartphone market share last year.

Later HP acquired Palm to strengthen the portfolio of mobile devices. With increasing Palm Pre 2, HP now has had three previous portfolio of smartphones for Palm has released Palm Pre and Palm Pixi. The plan, HP also will use as a platform webOS tablet computers starting next year.
