Android Samsung Transform, Sanyo Zio, and LG Optimus S Released in U.S.


Sprint, the third largest mobile operator in the United States recently has released three Android-based devices at an affordable price. All three of these handsets is Samsung Transform, Zio Sanyo, and LG Optimus S, which sold for between $50 to $ 150.

Transform is the basic version and smaller than the Epic 4G, Samsung Galaxy S variant which has a QWERTY keyboard. Transform uses 800 MHz processor with 3.5-inch screen with Android OS 2.1 without the TouchWiz UI. Equipped with 3G networks, Transform selling for $ 150, or 100 dollars cheaper than the Epic. While Sanyo Zio using Android 2.1 is sold at $ 100 after coupon. With light weight, Zio-shaped rod has a 3.5-inch WVGA touch screen, trackball, and a 3.2 MP camera.

LG Optimus S (pictured above) is one of the cheapest Android handset because it is sold at only $ 50 after rebate cuts. Although expensive but Optimus S has been using Android 2.2 "Froyo" and has a 3.2-inch touch screen. There are also 3.2 MP camera and the ability as a mobile hotspot for up to 5 devices that share a 3G connection.

Samsung Transform and Sanyo Zio will soon be available while LG Optimus S will be launched later this month at Halloween.
