Sharp IS03, CDMA Android 9.6MP Camera


Sharp has just released the first Android phones with hardware specs very high. Sharp IS03 will be launched for operator AU KDDI in Japan.

Retinal display technology on the iPhone 4 has left many Android phones WVGA into shadow. But Sharp has recently announced Sharp IS03, Android phone that has a 3.5-inch capacitive touch screen with 960x640 VGA resolution double that is not inferior to the iPhone 4, another great phone has a 9.6MP resolution camera with Flash.

Sharp IS03 has been using 1GHz Snapdragon processor and has brought the eclair in Android 2.1 release later. But make no mistake, these Android phones are not using GSM network, but CDMA EVDO Rev.A networks and has WiFi connectivity, Bluetooth 2.1, EDR, GPS, 512MB of RAM, and an FM transmitter.

There is still no information whether it will be launched in other countries. In sales have been included 2GB microSD card and have the option of white, black, and orange.

Sharp Galapagos, Tablet 5.5 inches and 10.8 inches


Sharp has announced two new tablets product called Sharp Galapagos which is a tablet that Android has the advantage as an eBook reader also from Cloud-based eBook service from Sharp that also named the Galapagos.
Small version has a 5.5 inches LCD screen with 1024x600 resolution that is optimized to show various electronic books. There's also a trackball controller, serves to scroll pages. The tablet will be available in two colors, red and black.

The other has a larger screen size of 10.8 inches, using the LCD screen with 1366x800 resolution suitable to open a magazine or can be formatted content directly to open 2 pages at once. As a comparison, the iPad has 9.7 inch screen with a resolution of 1024x768.

Both devices have Wi-Fi 802.11 b / g, which directly embedded therein. Users also can browse, open PC documents, play games via the application, share comments and recommendations with other users through social applications that have been installed directly in it. This makes Sharp advertises the device as a tablet media, not just the usual eBook reader.

Galapagos Service e-bookstores will begin to open in December, with this Sharp expects users have enjoyed a total of 30 000 newspapers, magazines, and books available at launch. Sharp hopes to sell around one million units of the Galapagos with WiFi capability in 2011.

Sharp still will announce more information about these devices, whether to use Android OS, about the price, the scheduled launch, and global availability.
